As I mentioned in my last post, I’m opening for Homeboy Sandman’s Resonance Frequency album release show this Friday July 31st in Brooklyn (you should come). To help promote the show, Sandman invited Leo Coltrane and me join him on Rap Is Outta Control on SiriusXM. As with any self-respecting hip-hop radio show, the three of us had a chance to rhyme at the end of the interview. And rhyme we did. Check out the three man weave below…
I can’t lie…a NAHreally Shade 45 freestyle is not something I really ever imagined happening, so big shoutout to Homeboy Sandman for putting me on (and to DJ Eclipse and The Cain Marko as well). Was I nervous? Very. Did I do what I had to do? Of course. It had been a minute since I felt those kind of nerves rapping. A nice reminder how far out on a limb I keep going.
I also come to you with a new edition of Rapping at Home. In this seventh installment, I perform three songs from my 2022 self-produced album HACKINAWAY. It’s cool to track how my delivery has changed on these songs over the years and also occasionally a little strange to re-record lyrics I wrote four or more years ago.
